On the positive side the hotel is very central and decor/atmosphere great. I could see the kitchen was also catering for the party and with only one chef he was pretty overwhelmed trying to do everything. Our food was delivered at different times and the waiter apologised and gave us free drinks. We also ate in the restaurant that evening. I was located on the 8th floor and it turns out there is a party space on the 9th floor where a Christmas party was taking place! The staff at reception were helpful and asked the DJ to turn the base down but it was still noisy and I couldn’t sleep despite speaking with reception 3 times. The first night was lovely and peaceful but the second night I had music booming through the ceiling until 1145pm.
